Biographical / Historical

An indulged meeting at Upper Greenwich was established in 1756 by Haddonfield Monthly Meeting under the care of Woodbury Preparative Meeting. It was transferred to Woodbury Monthly Meeting in 1784. In 1772, Salem Quarterly Meeting established the meeting for worship; Upper Greenwich Preparative Meeting was established in 1773. The Orthodox preparative meeting and meeting for worship were discontinued in 1828 by Salem Quarterly Meeting. Upper Greenwich Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) of Woodbury Monthly Meeting was established as Mickleton Monthly Meeting in 1954.
