Biographical / Historical

The Preparative Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia (Hicksite) was established by Abington Quarterly Meeting in 1827. It became a part of the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia (Hicksite) and held its sessions at Cherry Street until 1857 and then at Race Street. The preparative meeting was discontinued in 1893.
