Biographical / Historical

Maurice River Monthly Meeting was established in 1804 by Salem Quarterly Meeting out of Great Egg Harbor Monthly Meeting and Greenwich Monthly Meeting. The Orthodox monthly meeting was discontinued in 1828; its members were transferred to Greenwich Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). Maurice River Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1854 and its members transferred to Greenwich Monthly Meeting (Hicksite).
