Biographical / Historical

A meeting for worship at Buckingham was established by Bucks Quarterly Meeting in 1701 and by Falls Monthly Meeting in 1703. A preparative meeting was established ca. 1705. In 1720, the meeting for worship and the preparative meeting were transferred from Falls Monthly Meeting to Buckingham Monthly Meeting. The Hicksite meeting was laid down in 1955. The Orthodox meeting was discontinued in 1897; its members were attached to Falls Monthly Meeting. The Orthodox meeting for worship was discontinued in 1900.
