'''Hannah Bacon Evans''' (March 5, 1765 - February 27, 1829) was a Quaker minister and aquantaince of Elias Hicks from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

==Biography==
Hannah Bacon was born on March 5, 1765 to David and Mary (Trotter) Bacon.  Her sister was Elizabeth Bacon, to whom [[SCATTERGOOD, Thomas|Thomas Scattergood]] was married.  Hannah married [[EVANS, Jonathan, 1759-1839|Jonathan Evans]] in 1786 and the couple had seven children.  In 1816, she visited New York Yearly Meeting with her son [[EVANS, William, 1787-1867|William Evans]] and with Sarah Wilson.  At Jericho, the women stayed at the home of Elias Hicks, whom Hannah laboured to dissuade from the course he was pursuing.  A Quaker minister, Evans was described as being bright and cheerful in disposition.  She died on February 27, 1829 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
