Cadwallader Evans (b. 1762) was a politician and businessman from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Biography
Cadwallader Evans was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in 1762. From 1790 to ca. 1802, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Legislature, and at one time its speaker. He later moved to Philadelphia. He urged the excavation of a canal along the Schuykill River and became the president of the company responsible for that effort.
